Target Audience
This magazine will target a niche audience. It wont be gender specific and will target an age group of around 16-25. The sub-genre of the magazine is Heavy metal music. A possible title for this magazine is ‘Smash’. This is effective as it is an onomatopoeic word so it imitates the sound it is describing.
Ideas for main cover image There will be three photos on the cover. A main photo in medium close up of a heavy metal band, with angry facial expressions. Two smaller photos of people featured inside the magazine, such as lesser known metal bands or festival/gig pictures. One photo will be at the bottom of the page next to writing about an article that will be inside and one photo nearer the top.
Other possible contents
Interviews, Album Reviews, Gig Reviews/ Upcoming gigs. Strip across the bottom of the cover which lists what else will be inside

Colour schemes- To keep the magazine simple I will use no more than 4 colours throughout the magazine, Black, White, Green and Red. With a black background these colours will stand out just like the loud music that the magazine is about.
